During the Adiana procedure, a small scope/camera with a flexible catheter is inserted into the opening of the tube, and after a low level radio frequency is applied, a tiny silicone insert is left in place which stimulates your body's natural reaction to close the tube. You do have to use another method of birth control until a closure of the tube is documented by radiology 3 months after the procedure. Ask your doctor for details.
